Our BrightHaven animal residents are the heart of sanctuary operations. The sanctuary is the final destination for these animals, as we give our pledge that they will live out their entire lives with us in an atmosphere of love, peace and harmony. The sanctuary animals are each here by admittance with a special health concern that the average household would have difficulty attending to, or they are over the age of 16 and have had difficulty being re-homed in the community or through the shelter system.
BrightHaven revers the animal residents as our teachers, leading the way as to how they wish to be cared for through everyday lessons. The sanctuary has become the animals own creation as the founders and staff listen for their needs, and accommodate their desires and best interests in health. The lessons the animals teach are honored and brought forth to the community through resources in holistic care and education. Over 700 animals, cats, dogs, horses, pigs, and other domestic species have come to live out their lives at BrightHaven.
