Animal Family
BrightHaven sanctuary’s animal family is the heart of our operation. Our animal residents are the few special souls that come to BrightHaven in need of specialized care, most often due to late-in-life health issues. Others who have come for care may be paraplegic, such as Talya, Sasha and Harley, our huge pig!—or they have a very special condition that requires more intensive care than the average household would be able to provide.
Animal come to BrightHaven expressly for healing, however over the years we have come to realize they come to us to teach us and everyone who enters our sanctuary gates. In the process of the miracles of their healing they share with us lessons of love, joy, living in the moment, compassion and their deep understanding of the circle of life and beyond.
