I am still very sad after my parents left me the shelter and I had to live in a cold cage. My sister was with me at the beginning and then someone came and took her away. I wonder why my life changed—did I do something wrong?
When I came to BrightHaven I was very scared and I didn't feel very well. Everyone was very kind but it didn't help me feel any better—I wanted to go home. They gave me awful food—I had never tasted anything that was not crunchy before!
I did find a bed I really like though—it is in Gail's office and up very high so I feel safe. At night times I explore the house to see what it's like—and it is very BIG!! Quite a lot of fun! The other animals all seem quite nice, although I am pretty scared of Jack—a little red dog with a very big barkā¦but he hasn't tried to bite me though. Maybe he is OK after all.
You know there is a cat here who seems to be the boss. Her name is Gabby and they tell me she is blind—but she is really BAD and chases us all and will actually fight us if we don't run away fast enough! Hmm—I have been here a week and I am now loving my food—it tastes really yummy at last!!!
Gail is worried that I am so thin—but I will eat more and more now and maybe get fat soon.
